Romanian Orthodox Bible - Bartolomeu Anania
Hello,
I compiled a Logos version of the Romanian Orthodox Bible (Bartolomeu Anania translation). There is the full content of Old and New Testament included. For instructions on how to add this resource to your library, please see Tools > Bersonal Books > Add Book (on Logos 5).

Peace and Joy and Every Blessing for 2014, Dear Brother! *smile*
Thank you for adding to the Resources available to the Logos Forums Community!
It seems that God has given you indeed a Good Heart, eh? *smile*
I'm "bumping" your post because so many people are so busy at this time of year that I didn't want any to miss it ......
Philippians 4: 4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

Hi Mihai,
It looks like you ran into the same problem I did when trying to build a personal book of a Romanian Orthodox Bible. The problem is that the Romanian Orthodox Bible does not follow the same book/chapter/verse format as most other Bibles and the end result is not exactly the desired one. We are not the first ones or the last having to deal with this. If interested you can read more on this here:
http://community.logos.com/forums/t/37072.aspx
and here:
http://community.logos.com/forums/t/35456.aspx
There is no exact Bible datatype match in Logos for the Romanian Orthodox Bible. The datatypes available currently are these:
http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Datatypes
And the book/chapter/verse format being used in these are listed here:
http://wiki.logos.com/Bible_Verse_Maps
So, unless Logos comes up with different Bible datatypes, were stuck with trying to find the best match and deal with the the errors in other ways.
This is how far I got before giving up
Grace and peace!

Thank you George.
My approach was to export the text from BibleWorks in Microsoft Excel and to use the necessarily formulas to add the Syntax used in the example bibles that where posted here on the forum as PBBs.
Anyway, the Romanian text is not for academic purpose, but is very useful a side reading, to get a faster glimpse of the context. Until now I did not found unmatching verses, although I must confess that my study is concentrated only on the Gospel of Luke.
P.S. Please add me on facebook (fb.com/meetzah) as I would be glad to know more people from Romaian using Logos.

Doamne ajuta!
I was wondering if there is any update on the Orthodox Bible you posted? I would be interested in the "Biblia Sinodala" version to use in Verbum.
Thank you very much and God bless you,
Anastasie Monahul
PS: I'm a Romanian using Verbum/Logos.

Welcome to the forums. Please note that that thread is from 2014 but praying that you will get the answer that you desire.
RE: verse matching: What I did when I could not find that correct verse match was:
To use the words "no corresponding text" if a verse was "skipped". Please do not use words that imply that something is missing or added as that makes a judgment on which text is correct. No corresponding just states a fact.
When there are "additional" verses I added all of the additional text to the text that last matched. As in book.verse.00 [the matching text] followed by a book.verse.01 [for the next test - followed by 02 03 04 etc as needed. [That "verse" might run on for a whole paragraph or more]
[[I was "having fun" comparing the LXX and the KJV in Exodus 36+. They do match up but the reader has to do some work to see that they do match. There are differences but it looks like somebody's master copy fell apart before it could be correctly copied one last time. The did a fair job on reconstructing the text. (IMHO) ]]

Anastasie,
As far as I know Biblia Sinodală is under copyright so, unless Logos obtains the right to publish it, we are not going to get it in Logos/Verbum. If you know anyone at Editura Institutului Biblic și de Misiune al Bisericii Ortodoxe Române, which seems to be the copyright holder for Biblia Sinodală, you should ask them to contact Logos directly and ask for Logos' cooperation in publishing it in Logos/Verbum format.Grace and peace,
George

Thank you, George!
Unfortunately i have no connections with Romanian publishers. I thought that maybe someone on the forums has the Bible as a "personal book" file. I know that there are many electronical versions on the internet...
God bless you!
