Small Caps in Notes

The formatting in Notes has "small caps" as an available option - however, it just capitalizes everything with the same size caps - including the initial capital. Small caps should leave the size of the initial cap and change the undercase letters to caps with a smaller font size.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something?

The small caps option changes everything that you have selected to small caps. If you want to keep the initial letter regular caps, don't select it. This makes it work like the other 'toggle' font selectors (bold, italics, etc.), but it isn't the way we're used to regular word-processors working.
