Adding Resources?
Logos 4 didn't find all my resources because I had them on a separate partition from Logos 3's installation. Is there any way to add them now by moving them to a particular folder?

Logos 4 should find any resources that are in your Logos 3 resource paths (Tools > Options > General, Resource Paths) at installation. It doesn't matter if the files are on a separate partition, hard drive, or even computer (i.e., a network location) as long as they are in your resource paths. Logos 4 checks for available resources only when it builds the index. After the index is built, it won't recheck until the next time it rebuilds the index (I think). There is a way to force Logos 4 to reindex by running SetBetaScanPath.reg, but I'm not sure if that file is available to beta testers or not.
Bradley might have a suggestion for you.

Phil,
Just to let you know; I keep my resources for V3 in a separate partition and it wasn't until I put them in C:\program files\Libronix DLS\resources that V4 actually found them.

It may grab only the first path in Resource Paths. I list G:\DLS Resources first then C:\Program Files\Libronix DLS\Resources (I'll let you know if that works).

Also, based on another thread, I'm guessing I should move PBBs and any 2006 and older resource files before installing Logos 4. After Logos 4 is through indexing, can I put them back in the LDLS 3.0 path? When will Logos 4 discover/index them?0 -
I am waiting for the DVDs. I have my resources on a separate partition, but I also have a juntion point so that LDLS 3.0 sees it as the default location. Anybody else use a junction point so the defalut location is actually somewhere else? If so, how does it work with Logos 4?
I do; it should work just fine.

PBBs will simply be ignored (we don't process that file extension at all), but our goal is to read every other LSF/LBXLLS resource. If you do experience crashes during "Preparing your library", it may be due to old or third-party resources; moving them out of your LDLS3 Resource folder can help. When "Preparing your library" is done, you can move the files back; at this point, Logos 4 has finished scanning that folder and won't notice new files.
If your licenses ever change (e.g., you purchase a pre-pub, or we unlock additional beta licenses for testing), Logos 4 will rescan your LDLS3 folders for newly-unlocked resources. If that happens, you may need to move resources out of that folder again.

This change of license is it on v3 or on the web (sync ed licence)?
Can a rescan be forced otherwise?
Thanks

It is on the web.

Not in Beta 1.
