Volume 2, or at least part of volume 2, of the Vos Reformed Dogmatics just downloaded!

I wonder when the 14 volume collection of other Vos works will be available?

Can our Reformed Logos rep gives us an ETA?

Unfortunately we have not nailed down a ship date for the Vos collection. But it's coming!

So if I order this today will I receive the two volumes or will I have to wait for the third volume to ship before I get the first two?

Unfortunately, you would need to wait until the next release. It is a unique technical problem since I believe this is the first time we are shipping a pre-pub incrementally before it is finished and before customers actually pay for it. Apparently, from a technical standpoint, it only made sense to ship it for those who pre-ordered early on. It is also a benefit to those who pre-ordered the earliest. I hope that answers your question. Still a good idea to pre-order now, though, to get the best price. And we're working hard to get the rest of the volumes shipped!

Thanks for the interest. It is certainly a worthy project.

    Hey Christian,

Thanks for your quick response and for clearly answering my question. I always looked at this set but I always saw under it development so I didn't really bother with it (thanks for the heads up OP).

Maybe you'll answer a follow up question. Any guess/hint when the next release will hit? possibly under six months? I do think I'll be in for this though. Among other things it seems like great value for the price. Thanks.

I am really taking a shot in the dark, but my guess would be that it should be within 6 months. The translation is already done. Right now, Gaffin is doing the tedious work of carefully editing it. There is a lot of history with this work and a lot of issues to work through. So it's been slower than with other works. But I'm glad it's being done well.

Yes, it is totally worth the value. I feel like Logos is practically giving it away at the current price. It really is an invaluable resource. I read the first volume and there is so much insight packed into those pages. I can see why Van Til said "Dr. Vos was the greatest pedagogue I ever sat under." Definitely a must read.

I pre-pubed it last January, but did not get an email about volume 2, nor has it populated into my Logos.  Am I missing something here?  Please let me know, thanks.

You won't get an email. You will simply see it in the list of updated resources on the Logos 4 or Logos 5 home page.

BTW - I have yet to see the mobile version update download yet, so if you are only looking for it on an iOS or Android device then you are not missing anything. Those mobile downloads are often a few days behind the desktop updates/ downloads.

Hmmmm not seeing it anywhere.  If I prepubed it last January would that be early enough to qualify for the second volume?  Or is there a customer service line I should call?

Volume 2 is not a separate resource.  It's just an update to original Reformed Dogmatics that you should already have had.

You can always call Logos at the phone number on the Logos home page if you need help.

I also pre-pubed it in July 2013. I've seen the talk that vol. 2 has come out and so have been excited to think I may finally get my download of vols. 1&2. Nothing so far... I'm glad to wait if need be, but my understanding previously was that those who pre-pubed between vol. 1 and 2 would then get them both. So grateful for the work on this. Thanks!

Just received this on Twitter with the comment from Lexham Press:  a sneak peek!  Could the completed Vos' Reformed Dogmatics be coming out soon?  Hope so!

There is still more translation work to be done, but it's being worked on!
