How can one prevent timeouts (clackouts) when using faithlife on an ipad?

I use Faithlife on my computer as part of my Logos package, but a friend has it installed on her ipad.  She has trouble with the ipad going blank during sermons or lessons in church.  Is there a way to prevent "sleep" or the timeout in this app, without changing the general setting for every ipad app?
