Import Issue with powerpoint

We are testing this software using the 30 day trial. Our group is using Powerpoint from Windows and Macs, Keynote, and Open Office. I've been successful at exporting from Keynote as .ppt but when I select to add it to Proclaim I get an error message: "An unexpected error occurred while importing the specified PowerPoint document."

We really like this software since we are able to share the uploads but unless I can figure out a way for everyone to import I fear the board will turn it down.

Please let me know how to correct the issue we are having.

Hello Lesa,

I am assuming you are doing this on a Mac when you get this error? Mac has a few known issues with importing powerpoints (due to the third party software we use for it) so I would suggest a workaround: Export the Powerpoint slides from Powerpoint as .jpg files. Once this is done, import the jpg. files into Proclaim and use them in an image slideshow item.

Lesa, in your scenario it sounds like the most straightforward thing to do would be to export from Keynote to .jpeg files. Then import into Proclaim as an image slideshow item. No need to introduce PowerPoint.
