Prompter?

... but because that is over 2 years old and I want to make sure I fully understand, I thought I would ask again ....

We love using Proclaim for our church, but have more recently been very interested in some way to "prompt" the worship leader and/or teaching pastor of the "next slide" that the screens up front will show. Our pastor doesn't currently use notes or an iPad ... although if that's the only way, we may be willing to change that. But that still doesn't help our worship leader ... or does it?

Can someone give me the "Proclaim for Dummies" version of whether or not this can be accomplished (without the makeshift solution of paying for another subscription and plugging my laptop into a separate monitor BOH)?

Hi Toni,

Welcome to the forums.

There are a couple different ways to accomplish what you're describing. The remote app lets you look ahead, and Proclaim now supports a confidence monitor that offers a text-only view of the current slide.

Thanks for your quick reply, Ray! It does ... a little. A couple of questions ...

1./ For the remote app ... it would mean that our pastor and worship leader would need their mobile devices immediately accessible during their "stage time", right? I ask, because right now they are both out there without that. Also ... based on what I read, if they DID use this, I assume they would use the Filmstrip display to see the next slide ... right?

2./ The confidence monitor doesn't help, because it shows current slide --- right? Both the worship leader and pastor are very good at remembering where they are ... they would just want to make sure they knew that where they were headed was where they wanted to go. So they actually need to see the NEXT slide, not the current one.

Yes, they would need to carry their mobile device with them. They could use either filmstrip or notes to look ahead.

That's correct, the confidence monitor shows the current slide.

I have seen that this is coming on your boards for 2 years. This is the only thing keeping me from becoming a customer at my new church. I like Proclaim, but this may make me have to move to Pro presenter 5.
