Uploading image to Proclaim

I am using the 30-day free trial right now and trying to build a service to see if this is something that my church will enjoy using.

I would like to create a custom slide with our church's logo. Is it possible to upload a photo and move it around on a slide to where you would like it? Or do I have to do that in PPT then import? Right now when I upload the jpeg of our logo it just becomes the background of the slide. I'd like to keep the background but have the logo on there too... is there a way to do this?

Hello, Esther!

Currently, we do not support the placement/movement of foreground images. If you are looking for specific placement of a logo on a background, you will need to create that image in another program and then upload it as a background.

I'd like to keep the background but have the logo on there too... is there a way to do this?

It is possible to upload an image to a custom slide and use it as a foreground image. You do this by choosing your desired background and then navigating to the content tab. At the bottom you should see a link that says 'add image' (it will look like below):

Once you upload the image, it will show up in front of the background you have chosen previously. Unfortunately you cannot move this foreground image as of yet. If you have any other questions, please let us know.

Thanks, Aaron! Is there a possibility that this feature will be added in the future? I was able to upload an image but it is centered in the background and I am unable to customize it.

Sometimes in our announcement slides we will need to add an image like a logo or a photo of a guest speaker, I would love to be able to move those around and adjust size. Thanks!

Esther, may I suggest using PowerPoint on PC or Keynote on Mac to create your announcement slides and export them as images. You could then add them as an image slideshow and this would achieve what you are trying to do. I do video announcements at our church each week and for a long time I was using Keynote to do these. With the newest Keynote release I've had to change my workflow. I now use Keynote to design the slides (quicker and easier since I'm not very fluent with Photoshop or Pixelmator) then export them as images. I record my narration in GarageBand then put everything together with video in Camtasia 2. I'm working on a Mac if you can't tell. It works well for us, but I don't think I could ever come close to the design freedom I have in another program in regards to placement of custom images in Proclaim.

Here's another idea too. You could just create your own announcement backgrounds (with your custom placed graphics) and then export the image and use it as a background to your announcements adding all the text in Proclaim. This would also accomplish what you are trying to do. Hope these suggestions help.
