Surely I must have missed something?

Downloaded video of band playing song.

Loaded Video into Proclaim as background and overlaid with words.

No sound from video (it being background I suppose)

Loaded video into quicktime.

Exported Audio as MP4

Loaded MP4 into iTunes

Created MP3 version.

Saved MP3 version

Deleted MP3 version from iTunes.

added saved MP3 version as audio track to the video that I have already playing as a background.

Synced the lot.

Boy! that was convoluted.

Overlaying text on a video with sound isn't a scenario we've put much focus on. Normally videos uploaded for non Video service items are motion loops or intro videos, both of which are not normally intended to have audio. You can see that when you add a Video service item we give you the option of using the video's audio or the background OoS audio.

I think we could provide this option to all service items with video content. I'll bring it up on Monday. Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the response. I did know about the option for using the sound track (or not) on video items.

Our little worship group has no musicians, few competent singers but great Spirit (from without and within). We rely on recorded music to give the praise a lead and a boost.

The scenario I outlined above was the first time that I had tried to use a video of the live presentation of hymn with the words overlaid.

Our biggest problem though is the degrading of sound quality as we take our MP4 256 kbps tracks down to 160 or 190 when we have to convert them to MP3s. Please alleviating this a priority.
