I am finding that any text I type into a slide is all auto-formatted. I can't just italicize one word or put one sentence in bold. Is this accurate or is there something else I should be doing? Thanks!
Esther
Hello Esther,
I have not run into this issue in house. What OS are you running when this happens. Also, does this happen on all slides or only a particular type?
I am on OS X 10.9.2. If it is separate text boxes, than no, I don't have that problem. But on a custom slide, if I enter text and try to italicize one word or line, the whole slide gets italicized.
I still am unable to reproduce your issue. Here is a break down of what I am doing; please let me know if I am missing any steps:
(Running OS X 10.9.2)
At this point, the word is italicized normally and everything works correctly.
I'm having a similar issue...although the text I am wanting to format is in the song slides.
Creating (or importing) a song
Click "customize" at the top right
Highlight a bit of text I'd like to change
Select italize or bold or some other formatting device
The entire song is effected; not just the words I highlighted.
Michael, I see what you are saying. However, I believe the song slides are designed to work that way. What Spencer is saying is that in a "CONTENT" slide, you can alter the text however you like using the procedure he outlined. Hope that helps!
Michael,
What Josh is saying is correct; You cannot change the text formatting of a single line in a song item.
