In partnership with Ancient Faith Radio, we are testing a new product type combining mp3 lectures (playable from within Logos/Verbum), as well as tagged Logos transcripts, linking across both scriptural and patristic references in your software.

The first series is the incredibly popular A Word from the Holy Fathers by Archimandrite Irenei (Steenberg), a monk of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Included in this set is 68 lectures and transcripts (descriptions included on the product page).

If this goes over well, we will do many more, focusing on their more popular and scholarly offerings and keeping the price as low as possible.

I really like the fact Logos is expanding in different media directions.

Yeah, I think this is a great idea!

Would love to see offerings from Jimmy Akin, Catholic Answers, and Catholic Stuff You Should Know too!

Also, why not start doing this for blogs? There are a bunch of blogs that I'd love to see appear in Logos!

    I really like this idea.

As someone who is not familiar with this radio program, I would like to know whether this product might be useful for a Latin rite Catholic interested in learning more about Orthodox history and figures at an academic (or at least non-superficial) level.

Most of the topics in this program are commentary on the Fathers, so I would say it has broad appeal for anyone interested in learning more about them.

Gabe, any plan to expand this offering to other faith groups in the near future?

Ancient Faith is interested in doing dozens of these, but we are gauging the interest of our users first. I do know we're interested in more unique media products going forward, speaking more generally.
