I was disappointed that Bonhoeffer was knocked out of March Madness early but, at the same time, I'm thankful that I am now able to get two books that have been on my wish list for some time at 45% off. Ideally I would have loved to have purchased the entire set but it is still too pricey in my opinion. I urge people to consider at least adding these two classic works while they are available at a great price.
Got both of those (as well as vol. 3) in print. Grabbed Discipleship in this sale, and will almost certainly grab something else too. While Life Together is good (and a modern spiritual classic) I am wondering if maybe I should go with Vol.1 for his explanation of the ecclesiology behind his work, or Ethics...
Ethics, Discipleship, Life Together, Letters from Prison, Prayer book of the bible: these are his most famous books. I am thinking of getting these in logos but they are much cheaper in paper format.
On the other hands, vol. 1 Sanctum is his PhD thesis and outlined the foundation of his theology and is a great introduction to his thoughts, Creation and Fall is also a great foundation. These are good buy and less cheaper version available in prints.
Finally, all the other vols such as London, Berlin, Young Bonhoeffer, Tegal prison, conspiracy are more academic, but there is no other discount and this Logos March madness is the best price ever to get those volume.
So it is hard to choose

Yes, I picked up Discipleship (most famous), and the final volume (Conspiracy) since there seems to be some question about Bonhoeffer's actual involvement in the final plot and his own words should have the greatest authority for that debate.

I picked up this too and am still debating on Ethics. I am still considering Ethics. Even at 45% off these are not inexpensive books.

Not an expert - but these volumes are particularly interesting to me...
Vol. 1 - Sanctorum Communio - I have not read it, but his Doctoral work lays the groundwork for his later work on Church as the the body of Christ for the world.
Vol. 2 - Act and Being - Again, I have not read it, but his post-doc work would provide information about his theological method, and how it fits in with the Ritschl school, as well as Barth and Luther.
Vol. 3 - Creation and Fall - Theological Exegesis of the opening of Genesis. I am glad I have read it, and expect I will read it again some day.
Vol. 4 - Discipleship - Modern classic theological exegesis of the Sermon on the Mount. I have already gotten it in Logos
Vol. 5 - Life Together/Psalms - Bonhoeffer's best seller, according to the notes in it. A more practical book telling about how he implemented his understanding of the Church in a seminary of the Confessing Church - explaining many classic spiritual practices...
Vol. 6 - Ethics - His mature work, and one I need to read...
Vol. 8 - Letters and Papers from Prison - Enigmatic, fragmented works. May be quite interesting, but not sure if even in this new edition (which I have not seen) makes them understandable without quite a bit of understanding his previous works.
Vol. 12 - Berlin 1932-33 - The beginnings of the Church-struggle. The Bethel Confession. His Christological lectures.
Am I missing anything?

Most of us might know this as The Cost of Discipleship. I prefer that title, just because it's how I've always known it. But a rose by any other name still smells as sweet. One of the most influential Christian books I've ever read (I've read it three times), and one that I plan to reread several more times in my life.
