Add Web Pages to Toolbar?

I thought I once saw it was possible to add web pages to the Logos tool bar. With books and Word docs it's a simple drag and drop method. Web pages aren't working for me. Does anyone know how to add web pages to the tool bar? I also am not able to add web pages to the bookmarks section under favorites either. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Liam,
Maybe someone else can weigh in a better option but the only way I know how to do it is to drag the webpage to the favorites sidebar first - then drag it from the favorites sidebar to the shortcuts tool bar. An extra step, but I don't know any other way. (I've never tried to use a web page with the bookmarks section)

On Mac I can drag straight to both the shortcut bar, Favorites and Bookmarks, so if one or more of these doesn't work on PC, it's a bug.

I can confirm that I am able to "drag and drop" a webpage directly onto the toolbar using Verbum on a PC.
Verbum 5.2 SR-6 (5.2.0.0136)
Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

Huh that's strange. I'm running L5 on OSX Mavericks. What area are you grabbing the web page from? When I try dragging the actual address at the top of the page It drags, but no spot opens up in the Logos tool bar, it just acts like it's not there. The same happens when I drag the tab of the web page. I'm not able to drag the web page to either the tool bar, or the favorites menu. Logos just doesn't recoginize that I'm dragging anything over it. Pretty strange because I have web pages that I've added previously already in my favorites side bar, so I know that it has worked in the past.

Hi Liam,
Have you tried dragging the web page icon in the browser's address bar?

Ok! One more question. Is there any way to place images for the web page in the tool bar. It looks like the default is an arrow, but it would be great if the small icon for the page was there instead!
As far as I know, Logos will use the web page's favicon when available.
Edit: You can right-click on the icon in the tool bar and choose a new icon from the predefined selection.

My experience is as Daniel NM describes. It appears as in step 4 of the link he provided. If the website has an associated "icon" it should display when it is placed on the toolbar.

Ah, thanks guys. It looks like for some reason this web page doesn't work. It has an icon, but the web page must not be set up correctly for Logos to pick up the icon. Oh well. Too bad there isn't a way to manually insert your own image. Thanks again for all the help!

You can right-click on a toolbar icon and choose from a set of default icons, but there is currently no way to insert any image of your choice. That would be nice someday. It has been requested: http://logos.uservoice.com/forums/42823-logos-bible-software-5/suggestions/4293374-allow-users-to-customize-shortcut-bar-icons

One workaround would be to place the link into a personal book, such as this: 4118.Jec@YU.docx
then you may assign any logo of your choice to the PB, such as this:
and have it in the favorites bar. One click more, but the icon you like.
Red box shows the L5 standard icon for weblinks (for me regardless of the page's own), green box the workaround PB
Have joy in the Lord!
