Pop-ups

I am beginning to doubt my memory but here goes ....

In version 3, hovering over a pop-up displayed the pale yellow box with the appropriate text. If you clicked on the pop-up (or ctrl-click, I cannot remember) then the pop-up would 'freeze' and any links within the pop-up's text would then become active.

This does not seem to work for version 4, but neither does it seem to work for version 3 any more. Am I forgetting something or imagining something? Or has something central to both apps been updated?

if you left click on a footnote in a Bible it should freeze the popup, then allowing you to select hyperlinks inside the popup.
