I cannot add any text boxes to any slide now that the latest version has been installed on my Macbook Pro! How can I switch back to the previous version?

Since I need to edit for tonight's service, how can I switch back to the previous version? Can I Quit and open the old version that is in my trashcan?
Right now, the best thing to do is a workaround. After playing with it, I am able to create captions on ONE item per app start up so do the following:
It is possible to add captions to one item, and then the app gets into a state where it cannot add captions to other items until you restart the app. Also, add captions works correctly on Window so if you have access to a Windows machine, that would be the easiest workaround. Let me know if this works for you.
