Bible/Reference Material Not Being Accessed by App
Twice now I have opened the Faithlife Bible App on my iPad and have found the spinning loading icon. Both times the only way I could get the App to work again was to delete it and re-install. Any ideas why this might be happening? I also have Logos app on the iPad.

Hi David,
Which iPad do you have, and which version of iOS are you running?

Kevin, I am having the same issue. I emailed Logos Customer Service and I just got a reply. The solution offered was to upgrade my iPad. I believe mine is first generation version 5.1.1 I have no way to upgrade this. The only option they gave me was upgrade to iOS version 7, which means a new iPad. To me makes no sense. I have been using it for a long time with no issues in my old "first gen iPad". And like David said on his post, it works when I delete and reinstall, only for one session. Then when I close and try to open it again I get the spinning loading icon. My only hope is having Logos tech group fixing the problem. In my opinion, buying a brand new iPad just to be able to use a free bible is not a smart move. Again my only hope is having Logos fixing this for people like me, who don't have the money to get a new iPad.
Thanks.

Kevin - Like Leon, I have a dinosaur iPad 1 running 5.1.1.

In addition, my Logos Silver Package works just fine on my iPad.

David, I don't know if you have the same experience, but I notice the problems just after the last Faithlife update to 4.2. Logos customer service emailed me back with the same response. They said "sorry, but to be able to use FSB you need to have iOS 7). In my opinion it's unfair to exclude people for not having the latest iPad. And when you go to download the app, it clearly states that it is compatible with 5.0 and later.

Leon - I just started using this app so I have no previous experience. What I am now experiencing is that it works intermittently. I just opened the app and I had access to the bible and reference material. The next time few times, nothing. Then maybe it will work.
If there other apps are working with iOS 5.1, I believe this one should too.

David,
Doing some research to fix this issue, I came across an article about using old versions of apps. I followed the instructions and it worked. Basically, you will have to remove the app from your iPad, log into your iTunes account with the computer sync to your iPad and download Faithlife Bible Study using your iTunes account via the computer. Here's how it works.
1. Turn your iPad on (make sure to delete Faithlife on the iPad)
2. Log into your iTunes account on the computer
3. Click on the Apps tab (next to Summary) on the iPad toolbar that appears on your computer
4. There should be a list of all your Apps, including those installed or removed
5. Click on Install next to the Faithlife Study Bible icon
6. Click Apply on the bottom of the screen
I hope it works for you. It did for me.
