Best option when iPad Remote is unresponsive

Hello,

Our church has been having problems using the iPad Proclaim Remote feature for awhile.  In reviewing the discussion boards I found that there appears to be some tweaking of the Proclaim Servers...

that you are working on to deal with peak usage on Sunday mornings.  I also read in the same article that changes made to slides after initially being downloaded must then be re-rendered.

Question 1:
Assuming that our internet is working properly, is the best option to deal with an unresponsive iPad Proclaim remote to use a "universal presentation remote" that connects to the host computer directly or is this simply a matter of the Proclaim servers being busy at that time? (I thought I read that once you are done with your presentation that the rendered slides are actually downloaded on the host machine making the internet only really necessary for the remote control feature)

Question 2:
If we do happen to make a change to a couple slides before the service, does the entire series of slides have to be re-rendered/downloaded or does Proclaim only update what it has to?  (trying to measure the risk of last minute changes and if this might be causing delays)

We love the software, just trying to figure out how to get past this frustrating part. Thanks!

I have started using the Remote App recently. When using a 'universal presentation remote' I change the slide about three words before the end of the verse so that people can start reading the next verse. When I use the Remote App I need to change the slides almost at the start of the last line of the verse in order to get the slide to change in time.

Question 2:

If you make a change on the presentation machine that change is there and the syncing only copies the alteration up to the cloud.I don't know how long it would take to render to the remote app though.
