Indulge and flattering are both coded for BSL sense, however, bombastic is not.
Hi MJ
It seems to be coded as per below:
I am assuming NRSV - it that what you are using?
Graham
Compare:
Strange. Probably related to thee mapping of multiple words to a single word.
I think you must be right
If you scroll down you get both senses displayed against the second word
[:$] I need to do something about my cataracts ... I missed the scroll bar
.
. I missed the scroll bar
But its still strange that in the RI ribbon each Greek word is tagged with a different sense whereas in the right-click menu one word is tagged with both.
Something still doesn't seem quite right.
I agree that the display is flawed.
The NRSV interlinear alignment matches "bombastic" to both λαλέω and ὑπέρογκος, which is why both senses are on the context menu. Since the context menu operates on the (selected) English word, I'm not sure how to improve the display.
I guess I got confused as the RI ribbon seemed to show that there was one sense associated with each Greek word.
Are you saying that - actually - both senses are really aligned to the English word and they are just shown aligned under the separate Greek words?
All the sense annotation is done on the source language texts: so yes, there is one sense associated with each Greek word. But their presentation in English happens through the interlinear alignment: that's typically where some misalignment can occur, since the Greek/English alignment is imperfect.
So (being very specific):
Thanks Sean
Appreciate the insight, Graham
