Sorry for the reply in English, but I read French badly and don't attempt to write it.
But to pick a nit at the official description (in English!?) - was not the Catechism written in French, and then corrected according to the later standard Latin? Might it be better to describe it as the French version instead of translation?
And I am sure that this is the 2nd edition - not the 1992 original - right?

I'll bring that up to those in charge of writing the product page. You are correct this is French translation of the official Latin text. I will verify the edition tomorrow morning, but I cannot imagine this is the first edition.
