If the Fathers of the Church is here, isn't it time to be able to use the compare text tool on the early church fathers?
The reference schemes are generally less granular than Bible verses, and other texts don't get all the tagging that Bibles do (that would, for instance, exclude extraneous text like headings and footnotes), so it's not as pretty, but it does work:
