Hope you got your ears on...
I have a LITTLE money that I want to spend on Logos... Am finding LITTLE help (beyond figuring out arcane search criteria & manually keying it in) to help me find what I'd be interested in. I don't even find any help (beyond other users in the forum) to help me figure THAT out, either!
So here's what I'd like to see in terms of making it EASIER to find & buy something from Logos:
- Price filter. If I want to see things from $18-20, or $30-40, for example, I've LEARNED how to do that from the forums, but there is NOTHING I can easily click on when searching for products to help me do that.
- Genre filters.
- Negative filters, I don't want fiction or works targeted at non-English speakers (Spanish Bibles & Spanish commentaries, e.g.). Nor do I want works targeted at young families (I'm 63 & widowed). Etc. I'd like a negative filter for each genre.
- Positive filters - I may want to look just at commentaries. Bible dictionaries. Lexicons. Etc. I'd like a positive filter for each genre.
- I'd also like better genres to make the filters more meaningful.
- Completer volume filters for sets I partially own. I often want to look for single completer volumes in sets that I partially own, HOW WOULD I DO THAT? What EASY filter is there to select to do that? Looks like I'll have to cobble together some search criteria for EACH SERIES using the url as an editable search field (to add the "&unlocked=no" field) & the search field on the dynamic product screen (add NICOT or NICNT, e.g., as well as PRICE:[20-40], e.g.). Searching each series? More time than I usually have.
- "Already owned" filter so the only resources displayed are those I haven't unlocked. As things are now, I have to keep adding "&unlocked=no" to the url, every time I make a change in the other filters applied.
- Added info on product page for a resource. If this resource is part of a set I own, I'd sure like to know. To avoid looking through an 11 page list (60-to-a-page) of books that include commentaries (my main interest) that are in an $18-20 target, to avoid having to look at the whole list I'd buy the 1st one I found that helped complete a set I already own. (I have 6110 resources; couldn't figure out in the Library how to determine which sets were incomplete, either.)
- Documentation for Search Criteria. Even if the best we can do is search criteria, where would I find out what the options already are?
I'm sure others can add to this wish list (& probably already have). I apologize for not searching, but I'm frustrated at how hard it is to search for something to shop for. Been looking 3 days (when I have time), & I'm not even close. It shouldn't be this hard!
Thank you in advance for your help in making shopping easier.
