Trouble installing

I have n old version of Logos (2.0, Level 3). Been using it since the mid 1990's. Recently my laptop crashed, hard drive gone. So, I replaced it with a new one, with Window 8.1. When I tried to re-install the software I ran into a problem. Windows does not recognize the startup file. In the directory it lists the file as "Startup.000," instead of "Startup.exe." Am at a loss as to what to do. Any help? Thanks in advance.

I would email customer service with your license file, and get them to make sure the licenses are active on your account, then I'd download the free L5 engine. L3 has some issues with windows 8, mostly due to internet explorer if I remember right.

Logos 2 (16-bit software) won't install on a Windows 7/8 64-bit Operating Systems. Contact Customer Support so that they can licence your purchases and you can then use the resources in Logos 5 (you will need proof of purchase or serial numbers). Note that there is a roundabout way of licencing your resources provided you have access to a Windows XP (32-bit) computer where you can install both Logos 2 and Libronix (Logos 3)

IIRC with L2 licenses are located in a .db file on a floppy... There was no serial number.

Proof of purchase may suffice else a licence will have to be created via Libronix, which imports the data from L2.
