Please improve resource synchronization

I brought this up about a commentary over a year ago, but the issue has not been addressed. Frankly THE main value to me of Logos is the synchronization between resources when I am studying. I can remember a time when I had numerous books open and spread all around me while studying the Bible. Logos is so much easier than that.

However, some Logos resources, like commentaries, are versified in large sections rather than single verses and Logos does a poor job of synchronizing between this as a resource that is versified by single verses, like a Bible.

PLEASE change Logos so that it stops jumping all over when I change the focus of panes. For example if a resource covers a chapter of the Bible and I move the Bible pane to the first verse of the chapter, the accompanying resource will align there. So far so good.  But as I am working through the chapter I can't keep the two panes synchronized because if I switch focus, say to copy or highlight something in the commentary the Bible pane jumps back to verse 1 of the chapter. And if I'm in the middle of the commentary text and switch to the Bible pane, the commentary jumps back to the beginning of the section. This is NUTS; distracting, wasting time etc.

Please make the synchronization such that if the Bible pane is open to ANY verse within the range of the commentary's "chunk" that the commentary pane does not change and vice versa, if the the commentary is open to anyplace in one of its sections, any portion of which is displayed in the Bible pane, the Bible pane isn't forced to change.

Have a great day,
jmac

Possible work a round?  Once you have found the needed resources un-link everything. Then manually move within the resources. Your going to be staying within a chapter of the Bible so that should not be much work.

    Never happen.

    (1) Driver links are too obvious. They've had target-opens for years (the opposite direction). Therefore the decision has to be Bob.  And Bob doesn't use Logos that much.

    (2) The feature is similar to a stylus (styli) on iOS.  Steve said no. No means no.  And so art packages are always a series of compromises on iOS.  Of course Apple never did like art/media.

    (3) The suggested workarounds over the years are not even good workarounds. The whole point of a large library is to bounce everywhere without loosing where you're studying (hint, hint .... the Bible).

I've given up on the subject.  Even the displayed Bible references don't match; that's been around for 5 years now.

I battle iOS.  And buy Kindle (since the vaunted Logos linking isn't).

Yes, the overall usage is to "bounce everywhere" But some times you get to a small point where you want to dig deeper on just that 'point'. [Where others would call that 'point' a periscope, paragraph, parable, etc.]
