iPad error again 6-29-14 - unable to change slide

Well... I had hoped it would be more smooth with the update in server capacity, but we again experienced the Unable to change slide message several times in our first service - the problem occurred about 8:45 am PST.
I had tested the presentation last night and before the service, and all seemed to go well, but during the service this morning, not so much. I ended up re-opening the presentation on the iPad and it went ok. I missed half a prayer and a scripture reading before I could go get the USB Logitech presenter and do it manually.
I'm writing to let you know that, at least from my perspective, you don't have enough capacity to handle the prime time usage of the system for remote slide switching.
We are running via WiFi on a dedicated network in the sanctuary, full bars on the iPad, 10 mbs up and down.
What would cause this? Are you able to tell when the servers are overloaded?

There were no known server issues this morning. I was (and still am) able to run a presentation and switch slides/control a presentation via the remote app. I experienced no lag whatsoever. Is there heavy traffic on your network during your services (a lot of people using it, other tasks being done, etc.)?

No - I am literally the only one on the network. We haven't rolled out Signals or the ability to make PayPal gifts during the service yet - we hope to implement that later this summer. (BTW, I don't see people writing/asking much about Signals or PayPal - does that work well?)
The tablet is the iPad Air, 128g model; the computer is a Sony Vaio i7, Win 7, NVidia graphics card, ALL drivers and OS up to date.
Do your server logs show any congestion or issues about that time (8:45-9 am PST)? That's when we were unable to change slides.
If not, I'm left to try to sort out what's going on here - and I honestly can't see anything. Everything worked perfectly 2nd service today, BTW, so I think that means we're good on this end. I've noticed that our 2nd service (10:45 am), which repeats all the same sermon material, announcements and OSB slides, but has songs instead of the liturgy slides - generally runs much smoother
Does it matter when the iPad takes control? That is, should I wait until just before the service starts? I tend to want to test it earlier...
Thanks, Spencer -

We've had this issue.
Yes, you should connect to the iPad like 5-10 mins prior. We had issues when we connected like an hour before. Also, make sure Proclaim is running before you connect. If Proclaim goes Off Air when the remote is connected, that can cause issues.
We had to install a WiFi repeater in the sanctuary. It was weird because there was connection except for on stage. It was just far enough away from the wireless router.

Yes this seems to work well; it just redirects the phone to a paypal webpage when clicked on which already has all the information filled out.
As for server congestion, there were no reported problems during that time frame (I was also actively testing at that time and did not have any issues). If there is any way you could test with a device that is not reliant on wifi next time (such as a phone) and see if this issue persists, that would be great as that could help us narrow down what is going on.

This should not be an issue (Has not been an issue for me).
