We have a repeating issue with Universal Control (a software that runs a Presonus Digital Mixer through a firewire cable). Our Praise Band and Team rehearse before services and this software is active. As soon as Proclaim is activated the software and the digital board freeze. We sent a message to Presonus and they had a few questions that I cannot answer. Their message to me is below and your input is greatly appreciated:

This case would be a good test case for our Testing department, however it would be good to know how this software interactivly enables firewire connection. Meaning, the reason for the disconnect could be related to the temporary drop of firewire connection when the software was enabled.
Does Proclaim software have any ties, that you know of, through monitoring control or MIDI channels through firewire means? If so, this could be a reason that when the software is opened, the firewire bus stopped producing audio. Mac software, through sandbox applications (how basically every application, including ours), can cause a drop in FW connection if an app has to access these things.
The question is posed because I don't have any information on this from the manuals I see online. Let me know!
