Sound on video when using it as a background for a song?

I'm trying to use a song video as the background for a worship song we're going to do and want to superimpose the words on it.  The video is working the way I want but I'm not getting any sound.  If I insert the video as a video type it works fine so I don't think this is a problem with my file.

1. Should I be getting audio in this situation or is it intentionally not playing?  If intentional, why?  It would seem you could have a mute setting if you wanted to not have it play all the time.  Is there a mute setting I'm missing that's on by default?

2. If supposed to be working, any ideas?  Maybe too low horsepower on my PC?

Thanks,

Keith

Video backgrounds do not play audio by design so the video's audio does not interfere with the background audio (if there is any) applied. If you want the song to play as, you can set the mp3 as background audio by clicking the speaker icon next to the song item and uploading the desired mp3.

Do they start simultaneously?  In other words, if I extract the audio from the video as an MP3 and then do as you indicate, will they start simultaneously if I have them set to play automatically?

    Thanks for the quick response.

Nevermind, I tried it and it's definitely not in sync and not usable.  It's unfortunate that there isn't an option to allow you to play mix of the 2 and just mute the video audio if you didn't want it.  I'll probably have to do what I want now as an offline video edit.  It would have really been nice if I could use Proclaim since I can just edit the text and it does the hard part...

    Thanks,
