Proclaim is causing my Macbook Pro to black out!

I'm using a Macbook Pro with OS X 10.9.4 and for the last 3 weeks or so I cannot use proclaim in our worship services at all! Every time I go on air with a presentation my computer screen blacks out and stops the signal to our projector. This happens within 30 to 40 seconds of going on air. Any help appreciated.

Can you reproduce the behavior when you're not connected to the projector? How is the projector connected to your MBP?

I could not reproduce the behavior when not connected to the projector. I am using a HDMI splitter to a projector and 80 in flat panel. I still don't understand because this has been the setup from the beginning and now it blacks out. Any advice?

I would make sure the projector drivers are up to date since you cannot reproduce w/o the projector.

Ok so I said that the black-out only happens when the computer is plugged into the HDMI but I was just running Proclaim on my Macbook Pro without being connected to the projector and it blacked out.

I can have our tester take a look at the presentation you were using when you experienced the black out. Have you uploaded and custom videos? I'm grasping at straws here since this is the first report of heard of such behavior. If you give us the presentation name we can take a look. Thanks for your patience and hopefully we can find a solution.

Is this only happening when using Proclaim? I only ask this because I've had issues with my Macbook Pro before blacking out when connected with a projector due to the port on the computer going bad (which resulted in a logic board replacement). I sincerely hope this isn't what is happening to you.

Thanks for helping. When your logic board went bad would it black out no matter which port you used? Like HDMI or the Mini Display Port? Mine also has problems, ever since this started, when I reboot or shut the computer down and power up again.

I was told when my lightening port (running mini-display to VGA or DVI) went bad that the entire logic board has to be replaced. What I found was that nothing was being recognized by this port. I can run a display out of it if I have the plug at the right angle and so forth, so it's really just a nuisance right now. I need to have it replaced, but I thought I'd deal with it a couple more years (starting to notice some other graphics anomalies right now) and then upgrade the entire computer. To rule out the port going bad, take it to an Apple store if you can and show them what's happening. They can run a couple of tests and let you know if it's your port or not. I can tell you, though, that I have another computer where I'm using HDMI out (Windows desktop) and sometimes it blacks out from the HDMI port, but it usually just flashes off and then back on.
