What cycles through on a weekly basis that is identified by a, b, c ...?

and what is identified by "random" appearances of roman numerals?

    Okay, I've figured out the A B C D E F G .... they are dominical letters (as in Sunday) which cue you into when unmoveable feasts occur on Sunday

    Wasn't that obvious?
