Other translation - i.e. ESV
I'm trying to get my church to use the FSB - I think it has some great features to encourage Bible study and interaction over God's Word. However, I'm wondering why the ESV costs $10. I realize there has been a lot of hours put into getting the FSB up and running, but how do I ask my people to spend $10 to use a new app when they can get the ESV free either with the ESV app or YouVersion - or a number of others. What is the rationale for the cost? It seems to be a difficult proposition for me to ask people to do this when they already have mobile access - just not with the FSB.
I thought I recalled a year or so ago if people downloaded the Logos app they got a number of resources free - including the ESV if I recall correctly. Is there any way to get people the ESV without the $10. I think with the pay this app will not be nearly as useful or utilized and I simply have a hard time asking them to pay for something that they already have for free on their phones or mobile devices.

You can download the app without purchasing the ESV Bible. If you want to use the ESV in Church and would prefer them using the ESV in the Fsb app, then give Logos a call and see if they will give bulk discounts.
