let's see ... at the moment am I Orthodox? Anglican? Lutheran? Methodist? Presbyterian? ... or am I Catholic?

Whatever I am among those denominations and several others that use the RCL daily or other daily lectionaries, I want to try the lectionary-driven version of the Every Day Bible app that just went beta on my Kindle ... (well, I did run into a glitch loading it so I really don't have it on my Kindle ... but I know how to get it there).

Please, don't tell me that the developers still don't realize that lectionary is a fancy name for a type of reading plan. They built a program for a lectionary whether or not they'll 'fess up to the language. After all there are lectionaries built on solely secular calendars.

So when do I get to try out the cool new app with a lectionary driving it ... and my choice of lectionary-based devotional or commentary?

    You have to cut them some slack. Some of us grew up in a sheltered environment and did not have fancy terms in our vocabulary. To us, a reading list is a reading list and a lectionary is how we choose a President. [:)]

    I can't speak authoritatively on product design, since for the most part, the mobile developers were given a spec for the Every Day Bible app and we implemented the spec. However...I think the purpose of Every Day Bible is to complement the Logos-owned/Lexham Press devotional Connect the Testaments. The app does not let you use any reading plan you want - it follows the specific reading plan set out by Connect the Testaments.

    Definitely not trying to invalidate your concern, just making sure the function of the Every Day Bible app is clear. [:)]
