Cleaning C: drive large files
I have files that show up under a "gigantic" search. I need to delete what I can as my C: is a SSD, and small
Some show up with Logos 5 in them. Which files can be deleted?
Also, is there a way to get some utilities to use another drive instead?
All help much appreciated.

In general, these will probably be Logos 5 database files and shouldn't be deleted
If you can provide information on file names and paths we could provide more precise answers

Logos 5 is resource intensive that benefits from SSD; personally would try moving other gigantic files first.
Curious about RAM installed ? If have adequate RAM, one idea is setting page file to 0 bytes. Is sleep needed ? hibernation file is size of RAM.
FYI: my Logos 5 library index file is 10.7 GB.

Hello Bob,
last month, I faced the same problem. I had only a128 GB internal ssd c-drive, where logos 5 was installed and three other exernal USB-drives, because my system doesn´t accept internal SATA-drives. Therefore, the discspace for my Logosinstallation was confined to drive c. It was only a matter of time that I would face the same problem as you.
I decided to clone my Samsung 840 basic ssd and move the whole content and the Windows 7 System Software to a Samsung 840 Evo with 512 GB. It was really very easy. Samsung delivers the program "Data Migration". You have to start it, to choose your new drive and to wait. It did not take long, only 7,5 Minutes and I could start the System again without any problem. [:D] Now, Logos, my OS and all the other programs are on my new larger ssd. I only had to change the Letters of my USB-Drive in the System-Administration, because now there is 1 drive more connected.
Here in Germany, the Samsung Evo 512 GB costs 200.- €. I know, it is much money, but maybe it could be an easy practical solution for you.

Tree size free http://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free/?language=EN is great for seeing what is happening. Look in c:\users\name\appdata\local\logos5. The library index has one massive file but the individual books are in resource manager and in total this is more than twice as big.

I face a similar problem.
I purchased a 128GB SSD with the idea of augmenting my present MacBook Air 128GB drive. However, I don't know how to "change the letters" to store the Logos files on my SSD while the program runs on the Mac.
Can you walk me through it? [I'm not skilled at working with computers at all, so I'll need some help!]

Logos is a resource intensive application that benefits from fast storage; suggest using Disk Speed Test => https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id425264550?mt=12 to compare internal and external SSD speeds.
Will the purchased 128 GB SSD normally be connected to MacBook Air ? Using removable drive for Logos files has problematic potential.

a second remark: If you want to transfer your Logoslibrary to your second ssd, check this:

There was also a discussion in the logos forum about this matter in 2013. Splitting the Datas to transfer them on a second drive seems to be difficult.
