I'm interested to know: how many people are using Notescraps (www.notescraps.com)?
This is something Logos released a while ago. I use it under Win 7.
I looked at the video and I am perplexed that Logos own note function is so limited. Notescraps looks real nice, not sure if I would buy it though.

I'm interested in this comment.
What do you find limiting about notes within Logos?
And I know that there are a range of issues which have been discussed in many places but keen to understand what your particular issues are
What's the difference between this and OneNote? I use OneNote already so don't think I need this.
Notescraps is from 2007!
I was just interested to know if anyone is using it. It's a very different piece of kit to OneNote: it saves stuff in a text file locally. It's like Post-It notes but contained in one place - and it is not a replacement for notes within Logos. And yes - it's from 2007!
I was an avid user of Notescraps. I love this little utility. It was a great way to keep all of my little sticky pad notes in one place. I think it unfortunate that Logos has obviously decided not to keep this program updated and compatible with later versions of the Windows OS. I still have lots of valuable information in my Notescraps text file. The program does not work with the latest patch levels of Windows 7.
I still have and use Notescraps [even with Windows 7. It is to Logos what the utility "Sticky Notes" is to Microsoft.
yes, Notescraps IS "old." It was Logos first entry into [then] newer graphical displays
But be careful to save your date [the "text" document] OR when your hard-drive crashes all of the info will be lost. A "new" text document will be generated when you re-install.
I still use it almost every day.
I started using Notescraps years ago on XP. It was the perfect program for managing my note clutter. Unfortunately, I cannot get Notescraps to work with Windows 7. It did work for a while when I initially installed Windows 7, but there was an early Windows patch that rendered this software inoperative. I love this program. It was a great way for me to keep track of all my notes and random thoughts. OneNote is too robust to perform this simple task. I love that all my notes were easily recorded and easily searchable, even if I could only remember traces of information I may have recorded. And all my information is simply managed in a text file. I now regularly search that text file to find information there I have previously recorded. Bummer. Why did Logos stop maintaining this program? I still have not been able to find a suitable replacement. Notescraps is simple and elegant. Logos, please reconsider supporting this program. Please!
Mine still works under Windows 7 [which is fully patched & "up-to date"
Sorry for your experience.
Given how old this (2007) and the fact it was designed for Vista / Windows 7, is it still supported by Faithlife, if not why does the webpage offering the product not make this clear that it is no longer supported, why even have the webpage ?
When you click on the link for the demo video, it does not work but the download for the software still works but I was not prepared to try and install it under windows 10 so backed out of the install.
I attempted to purchase Notescraps recently, but found that the message "unable to download pricing information from the Internet", keeps appearing. I've tried using Windows Sticky Notes, but I get extremely frustrated at how the notes randomly rearrange themselves on the desktop. Notescraps seems to be a much better designed product, despite the fact that it is so old. I would love to know if this is still available to purchase, since it only shows XP and Vista as supported OS's.
