I am able to advance slides, but the current slide is not displaying on my iPad. Logged in, logged out Force quit the app, etc, to no avail. Running iOS8.0.2.
Whats up?
I am not able to reproduce the issue here. When I view slides on my network, the slides show correctly. I would be curious to see if you can reproduce the issue using the beta version of the new remote.
Didn't know there was one. Will try.
Where can I find it?
It should be the top post here in the Proclaim forums.
Hi Dan,
I've been able to sporadically reproduce the issue you were having. While the beta version should work better overall on iOS 8, there's no iPad-specific version available yet. If you prefer the tablet layout of the old version, you can easily get around the issue by rotating the screen, then rotating it back to whatever orientation you'd like. That will get the screen to refresh and everything should work fine from there.

This is the issue I had as well - put it on another post - sorry... I had it Sunday, and again this morning. It's really hard to tell what slide you're on if you don't have the main slide in the center of the screen. Some of us are, um, older, and need the big slide view - plus if I'm playing guitar and I need to see what screen the words are on, it is just not going to work to have to look for what little slide is active - and it doesn't seem to advance correctly anyway.
I was able to get it - finally - to work correctly by opening up another app or just even doubleclicking the main iPad button and refreshing the app - I guess.
Do you want us all to switch to the beta version?
Hi Lawrence,
I'm sorry for the issues you're facing with the existing remote. The phone versions of the app (including the beta) don't have supports for notes, so if you rely on that, you'll have to stick with the regular version of the iPad app temporarily (rotating the screen should be simpler than having to exit the app if you encounter the issue above). If you don't use the notes feature, give the iPhone beta a shot on your iPad while we work on the tablet version. The iPad will scale up the images so it looks like you're using a big iPhone, and you'll have a decent-sized view of the slides. You'll find the beta version to be more reliable on newer versions of iOS.
We have a fix for this ready on the existing remote. You should see an update available from the app store within the next few days.
We were able to fix this bug server-side, meaning you can use the existing version of the iPad app from the App Store right now and it will work. The update coming in a few days will future-proof against this bug coming back, but you shouldn't see it anymore in the existing version.
Make sure you're using the version of the app from the App Store on your iPad. The phone versions of the app (including the beta) do not support notes.
Thank you! I actually ran into another bug on the beta remote this past Sunday. When I started reading scripture, the correct scripture displayed on the projector, but last week's scripture appeared in the app. Meaning I had to read off the screen with my back to everyone. I'm attaching another screen shot where you can even see faintly that the correct scripture was from Judges, but what showed up on the app was from 1 Sam.
Thanks for for your help!
