Strange two-finger scrolling behaviour with Bible! app

Running Bible! app on iOS 8.0.2

I am reading a book with columns set to Auto resulting in three columns on a page in landscape mode.

i get to a chapter division with the first and second columns containing text from one chapter and the third column containing the start of the new chapter.

If I use two finger scrolling anywhere on the screen the information in the first two columns changes but not the third.

Can anyone reproduce this?
