Lack of serious effort

I have both a PC and a MAC and I have to say I love what is being done in the MAC forums you really have to give it to the people who are working on this all the time.[Y]I have posted things late @ night and got responses really quickly and they have been really helpful. I have my frustrations with L4 on both PC and MAC but we must persevere and know that God is in control as a brother said in an earlier post. Thank you to all the hard working people who are helping us daily. [;)] The one thing I would love to see more of is basic user training for the MAC but I'm sure I will see it in the future. I simply can not navigate and set up my UI in a way that was as nice as my original Libronix that I was using before this (even in my PC). However its all about a learning curve and I praise God that I have this software.
Blessing,
Thomas

If the numbers you present above are usefully correct, that the Mac represents 10% of your user base, then may I say a big "Hello"
I don't know exactly what your "big hello" should say to Logos but to me 10% is just proof that Mac users of Logos copy the Mac users general market share. I think it is good and expected. Even more so if we think about the fact Logos is on the Mac platform just in a couple of recent years, comparing to much much longer activity in the PC platform. Looks good share to me.

Mac users may only be 10% of the Logos user base, but I'd wager that a gigantic percentage of that 10% are full time church workers-- pastors and Bible school/college teachers. And these are the guys who are constantly asked "what translation should I use", "what software do you recommend", etc. In effect, these are your REAL marketing assets.
Remember that although only 10% of the computers in use are Macs, by segment, an enormous percentage of professional writers and creative types use Macs. And, nearly all full-time church workers are essentially professional writers and creative types.
Happy with the progress for Mac Logos 4. Let's not forget that love is patient, and love is kind. Share the love...

Michael, that is a very interesting speculation on your part. So if I read you right, you belive a "gigantic" percentage of the 10% of Mac users is Pastors and Full time workers? What is gigantic? I would consider at least 50% to be "gigantic". So are you saying that in your opinion half of all Mac users are pastors or full time Christian workers? I would love to know what kind of research you are reading that would support that assertion. Do you have a link to something?

I think it's more like: "These are the people who get asked 'what translation should I use." Pastors & Bible profs aren't going to be asking that. They're parishioners & students will do that for them.

I believe Michael was referring to the Logos customers who are also Mac users at that point in his post. He then moved on to Mac users in general (in order to show that we are the most creative and intelligent person on earth) He did not really say the part in parenthesis, I thought it made a nice addition [H]
