Kindle to Logos?

Hello all,

I am new here and after getting a free copy of Logos 4 in Bible College, I am now upgraded to 6 Plat'. Praise the Lord, what a blessing!

Two questions, if you would be so kind in answering.

1. I know you can now send Logos to Kindle (amazing) but does it ever do it with links to the chapters, or is it just one big text file that you have to press 356 times to get to page 356?

2. How do you send Kindle to into Logos? Saw it mentioned as a regular thing people do (my impression from post) but I cant find how that is done.

Thank you kindly

I believe that some "send to kindle" books do have a TOC... It isn't a user option though. As for the other way around... Logos can't legally reverse engineer a kindle book to send it to logos... With that said: logos has a "personal book builder" tool which allows you to add anything you want as long as you can get it into a .docx file format. I'm on my phone right now, but if you go to the wiki, search for "personal book builder."

The Logos books I've sent to Kindle all have a working table of contents. Bibles are tough to navigate, but books are fine.

It's not legal to do that in all countries. Even then it's a multi-step process:

    1. Use Calibre and the DRM Removal Plugin to covert your eBook to HTML.
    2. Important the HTML into Word, and save as a .docx.
    3. Add the docx file to Logos as a personal book.

This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

2 Things:  Yes the books have a "working TOC" but it isn't like a standard Kindle book if you are on something like a Paperwhite.  No collapsible drop down.

Also, yes while you can use that method to get kindle books into Logos they by no means come out well, at least in my experience.  But the data is at least there.
