How would I find all the sermons that Spurgeon or for that matter, Luther, Whitefield, Wesley etc., preached?

In your own Library:
- In Logos 6 ---> {Label Sermon WHERE Creator ~Spurgeon}
- In Logos 5 ---> run Sermon Starter Guide on Gen-Rev with only the Sermons section and a Collections section of All Resource

This is such an amazing feature! Reason enough to upgrade to L6. And, as it so happens, it appears that all the tagging for Spurgeon's sermons has been completed.
(Not sure why there are sometimes more hits than articles, as in 76 hits in 74 articles (second to last in that screenshot)
The tagging for this feature is a work in progress, though. Only 1 by Luther has been tagged in my Library so far:

I too only get 3558 results. Rosie must have a personally signed sermon by him. How much was it?

Or is there a better way to do this?

This is what I did. Which works fine until we have a fully populated sermon section.
Its interesting that so few turned up. Would have thought in light of the upcoming season, they would have worked on the Christmas Tag a bit more. In any case:

Try Christmas WITHIN {Label Sermon WHERE Creator ~Spurgeon}
Here is the full Sermon syntax that demonstrate most of the possibilities:
- {Label Sermon} -- all labels with specified class name
- {Label Sermon WHERE Series} -- labels that have the named property (with any value)
- {Label Sermon WHERE NOT Series} -- labels that don't have that named property
- {Label Sermon WHERE Series = The King and the Kingdom} -- exact string match

Note - see screenshot below - that the number of articles and resources are the same - it is just the number of hits which are different.
And I've expanded the top resource so we can see the number of hits in each sermon article.
In each case the search with "AND Christmas" has an extra hit.
Searching for the word within one of the articles shows that the "AND Christmas" search is "over-counting" by one - but I haven't been able to work out why!

With the "WITHIN" search, the {Label} results are no longer counted, but only the highlighted instances of "Christmas". In both cases you got 104 articles, but with the "WITHIN" search, your eye can now jump directly to the specific place Christmas is mentioned.

Some other searches you could try:
- {Label Sermon WHERE Creator ~ Spurgeon AND References ~ <Lk 2:1-20>}
- {Label Sermon WHERE Creator ~ Spurgeon AND References ~ <Matt 1:18-2:12>}
These would find results like http://ref.ly/logosres/mtpserms29;ref=Page.p_1 which is a Christmas sermon even though it doesn't include that word.
