Verbum Treasury of Sacred Art: very nice, but room for improvement
I'm enjoying what I see in this resource so far, and it answers a need I've been crying for in Logos for a long time: more and better quality sacred art. So thank you, thank you!
But the amount of info given about each painting is minimal and not sufficient IMHO. Yes, I know you can click on the WikiPaintings link and get more info about it, but if all that info is public domain anyway, why not include the location of the painting in real life (that's usually included with most reproductions of great art in books). And PLEASE include the name of the painter in the info below the painting. I know that the art is grouped into separate resources by painter, but the format doesn't prevent you from someday making volumes that have multiple painters included in them. But the biggest reason is that you can't necessarily see the title of the media resource you're looking at (you might have several of them open at once) so you have no way of knowing who the painter is in a case like this, for instance:
The painter's name in this case happens to be Fra Angelico. It should go right under the title of the work in that info pane below. There's plenty of room for it, and the lack of it makes that info pane look sparse indeed.
Finally, the link "WikiPaintings" takes you to WikiArt, so it really should be called WikiArt (apparently WikiPaintings is the old name of the site).
So, in summary: add the painter name and the location where the work is hanging, and change WikiPaintings to WikiArt, so that in this case it would look like

I noticed the same thing. The name of the artist and the location of the painting (city, museum) should be provided at the very least. Otherwise, its a nice feature, I'll be glad to see it developed.
