Selecting Transitions - additional clicks and default idea

Hi all,

I have been wondering if you could take a look at the aspects around selecting a transition on slides.  One has to tick the "Use the ***** transition to this slide" and also select a transition.  Would it not make sense that if I select a transition that I might wish to use it and therefore auto select this?  I remember this happening originally last year but somewhere along the line this disappeared.  May be there is a good reason as to why it went or if we could have it back?

Also is it possible to consider having a default setting for all slides unless selected otherwise?  The default currently is "no transition" but could there be an option for users to select a preferred auto?

Thanks for your consideration.

I was able to reproduce the issue here, but on Windows only. I will publish a bug report and it should get fixed soon.

This is possible to set. If you look at the top of the presentation near the aspect ratio and location of your presentation, there is a drop down where you can choose the transition for all slides. See screenshot:

Thank you for the replies.  Yes I should make sure I mention we use Windows when I raise issues.

Thank you for the default confirmation method.  Unfortunately that is set to fade but for imported items from PowerPoint I have to manually do this.  They are the only new item I add which I've not copied and updated so had forgotten I'd set default to fade when we first got the software.

Just as a further update I can confirm that when I create new slides in Proclaim none of them have the default transition.  Clearly the Windows version has a glitch [:)]

none of them have the default transition.

Are you referring to the 'Use X transition to this slide' setting in the edit view of an individual item? The default transition will apply itself to all slides in the presentation; the 'Use X transition to this slide' setting is there to override the default setting for a singular item. This is the reason why this checkbox still has not changed after changing the default. When going on air, the default transition should show correctly.
