I can't find the ancient literature tool

I have just downloaded logos 6 cross grade features edition but can not find the "ancient literature" tool in the passage guide. Any thoughts? Thanks, David.

Strange! It appears in my PG. Did you look under the Add option in the Right-hand corner of the Passage Guide? You should find it there.

The Ancient Literature Dataset is part of your feature crossgrade. It appears in my passage guide in Verbum 6. Logos has had a major issue over the past 4 days, if you just purchased the upgrade it is always possible not everything installed.

It requires the Ancient Literature Dataset which is included in Logos 6 Feature Crossgrade, so you should have it.
Be sure you're looking for the tool in the right place and using a passage guide that has that section in it (i.e., the default passage guide, not one you'd previously customized from a template before the new Logos 6 features came along). Here's a post about it, and here's a video showing how to use it.

It looks to me like it was not downloaded although some resources were.

Rosie, thanks for the links. I do have the recommended resources for this feature listed in the post.
Sarel, I did look under the "add" option expecting it to show up there.
Thanks for all of the help.

so you are trying "update now" then "update resources" if the first was unsuccessful at forcing the download of the missing pieces?
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

That (update now) sounds promising. Where is that? I will look around.

You can check in on this thread (the topmost sticky thread in the General forum) and this thread (one of the stickies at the top of the Logos 6 forum) for updates on how they're doing restoring everything after the server outage. There are still some things not functioning yet, including "Software updates", so this could explain why the Ancient Literature Dataset might not have downloaded for you yet. Once everything is back up and running, you ought to be able to type "update resources" in your command line (I think datasets are included in the resources update command, rather than update now which updates to new versions of the software, but I'm not 100% positive, so if that doesn't work, then try "update now"). EDIT: However "update now" is much quicker, so if you want to try that first and then "update resources" if that doesn't work, it might be the smartest order.

It claims there are no updates. I just remembered that the indexing acted strange. It was indexing up to about 35% then went to 0% and stayed there. When I checked later the program had shut down. It started up with no issues and seemed like it was running and listed resource that had been added on the home page. Sorry, I should have thought of all this sooner. Thanks for the help.

Did you try "update resources" also?
If you downloaded right in the middle of the outage and ended up in some weird corrupted state, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Logos, but I hesitate to recommend that until everything is back up and running, as referenced on those status update threads I pointed to.

Ohh, third try and it is downloading! Thanks, you have all been a blessing and my OCD can calm down now (I pray). Thank you. I'll post when I finish.
