Pinning a book

How can I permanently pin a book in my layout so its always there and I do not have to search for it each time I open the software?

First make the layout the way you want. Then, in the upper right corner of the software you will see the word "Layouts". Click on this and you can choose the option "Save as a named layout" and each time you open that named layout it will appear the same way. Note that you can also update your layout if you wish. Hope that helps.

Or you can click and drag the resource to the Shortcuts Bar so it's visible and always one click away. I do his with lots of books.
