icon menu redraw issue

WIndows XP Home SP3, all patches, Pentium 2.4 384mb ram. 

I right clicked the little logos icon in the system tray and moved my mouse before it could draw on screen and the right click menu popped up in the middle of the screen.  Then there was no way for me to get rid of it without clicking it.  Fortunately I could resume the indexing again by right clicking on the icon and selecting "resume..>". 

I have noticed this occuring on other programs so it is probably a windows bug.  But can you perhaps insert some kind of trap that will close and redraw the menu item each time the icon is right clicked?
