ATS journals in Logos
Question regarding ATS articles in Logos. Is there an eta for these in Logos? Last I spoke with the president Dr. Cortez, he said the deal is going through. However, I have not seen or heard anything on this. Dr. Weber, do you know what we can expect and what other resources with ATS will happen? How will this be packaged? Will this be in an SDA Gold inclusion? I'm sure there are many volumes that would be in this. I believe this going to be one of the biggest things in Logos for Adventist scholars. Will the work be tagged with the biblical text, EGW, and original languages?
I also have a question regarding the Seminary in Berrien and Logos but I'm not sure if here is the place to ask, I don't want to spoil that groundwork between Logos and the Seminar, at least from what I have heard.

It's in process--which is a long journey for the entire archives of JATS. I can't comment specifically right now about inclusion in base packages except that we did negotiate our contract specifically with that stipulation. The entire JATS archives will interlink with everything else in your Logos library--including the EGW Lifeworks, which are now being recompiled with the latest technology (also a long process). As for the SDA Bible Commentary, I have not yet succeeded in getting permission to have it recompiled--nor can I include it in any SDA base packages. But it's available for purchase as a standalone product in the old Libronix format.
If you have a question regarding the Seminary, feel free to ask it and I'll answer it if I can.

Ok, since you give permission I guess I'll ask. I just didn't want to mess anything up.
I was told the seminary faculty at Andrews was considering a bible software to "endorse" or whatever I guess you would call it. (Stamp of approval?) Anyway, in speaking to Dr. Moskala about this he confirmed this as true. I wanted to ask him about where Logos fares in that faculty discussion and he said they have majority who wants Logos.
I mentioned that a student was speaking to Logos about doing a training on campus and if there was 10-15 students who purchase the discount would be HUGE! Not like academic discount but HUGE! However, it seems the deal fell through with one of the professors at the seminary who needed to be part of it and he did not follow up on the deal.
He mentioned logos sending a representative to speak to them? HE said the deal would take a couple of months. I mentioned doing a training seminar and trying to get discounts if students commit to purchase packages. Again, I hope I'm not messing anything up by posting this here. What do you know of this?

You've certainly got my attention! I will engage our academic department about following up on this, quickly and emphatically.
I'll also alert BRI--Dr. Elias de Souza just yesterday offered to do anything they could to help Logos expand its SDA presence, mentioning specifically the Seminary.
Thanks!
