I just bought Baptist Silver 6.0

Curious which book you all think is the most valuable in this set please?

Were you surprised by any recent free additions to this package please?

NAC, and the complete Spurgeon collection are probably the most valuable, together with Calvin's Institutes, although all were in L5 Baptist Silver.

Of those that are new to L6, I'd suggest Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible (4 vols.) as the most valuable.

Other valuable items are God's Indwelling Presence: The Holy Spirit in the Old and New Testaments, and the various "Works of" collections.

I guess I didn't need to recommend the Holman NT commentary in the other link since you own it now....

As I perused the "New to L6" features in Baptist packages, I also came to the conclusion that the most significant stuff was already in L5 Baptist Silver.

But in addition to Mark's comments on new to L6 stuff, I'll add these

    • For reformed Baptists, The Works of John L. Dagg are desirable.  Dagg was the first American Baptist to write a comprehensive systematic theology.
    • I. Howard Marshall's New Testament Theology: Many Witnesses, One Gospel  and John Goldingay’s Old Testament Theology are significant works, though as a Baptist you may not agree with some of their conclusions.
    • I also find the Dictionary of Major Biblical Interpreters to be useful.
