    When I try to play that video I get a message indicating the content is being blocked.

    Is this what you are getting?

    As far as I can tell SME is Sony Music Entertainment and they feel they have rights to some portion of the content in that video.

    I believe the content owner (the person who uploaded the video) can protest this with YouTube but, to be honest, I'm not 100% sure how that works. I can look into this if you would like.
