Hi,

I bought a new PC with .NET 4.5 already installed on it.  When I run the installer from verbum.com, I get the error in the subject line.  Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thanks

This has often been resolved in the past by simply rebooting the computer (then retrying the installation); does that help?

  • I have the same problem and the response I got from Logos support was irritating.

Here's the situation.   I has to get a completely new computer and re-install ALL software, not just Logos 5.  This included Dragon and Quickbooks which also engage .NET 4.5 and are working just FINE!   Zero problems.   It is only Logos 5 that will not work (or even install).  Logos support rep says that this is completely a Microsoft issue and has noting to do with Logos.  MS will have to fix it.

All of this work is being done for me by a MC Certified PC specialist to whom I am paying an hourly fee - to insure that all is correct on my end.   If all they other programs using .NET 4.5 are running just fime, just how is this a MS program.

And yes - we uninstalled and reinstalled .NET.    We used the .NET clean up tool.   We have used every tool. We disabled all anti-virus and protect software.  Tell me again how this is an MS.

What this is is Logos making Logos 5 miserable to force the purchase of a Logos 6 upgrade.

Welcome to the forums. Hopefully, Bradley will get back to you. However, since the free L6 engine will be available soon (February) I doubt that money motivating your problem.

.NET Framework 4.5.2 is now on Windows Update. Please make sure all Windows Updates (including optional ones) are installed, then retry the Logos installation. (If the Windows Updates won't install, there may be a Microsoft/Windows problem that's preventing Logos from installing successfully.)
