Suggestion: Scrolling books on the iPhone/iTouch
I have been using the Logos App on the iTouch since it came out. I love having access to my books in such a convenient way. After having used it for a while, my number 1 wish is that the books would scroll vertically as they do in Logos, instead of flipping pages.
When studying the Word, or thinking through an article, I like to be able to see the context. Scrolling would allow one to see the context easier than flipping, where you have to move back and forth if the verse happens to be at the top/bottom of the page.
This is a new app, so I expect that they are continuing to refine it. I hope that the option to scroll a resource will be added soon.

Yes, that is the most effective way to move through a passage.

I'm with Joe, scrolling I think detracts from fast reading, as your eyes constantly have to try to adapt to the page as it scrolls. The way it is built now is much better and easier to keep your eyes trained as it mimics reading a book.
Please don't change this or take it out of the program.
But, it certainly wouldn't be a horrible idea if it was a selectable option for those who prefer it that way. Just leave the default as is, thanks.

I also agree with Joe. I like the way it is done now.

At least one competitor gives you the option.

It's certainly an option I'd like to see. Granted for continuous reading page turning can be better but for short research, where invariably I find the verses I want to look at are split over two pages, scrolling would be so much easier. It's why I tend to use an alternative biblereader when wanting this function.

Option would be nice -- it's obviously one of those subjective things.

Agreed I would like to see this as well.

I would love to see scrolling become an available option to go through books on the iphone app. It's because I can't scroll through the text in my available books that I don't use this app nearly as much as I use the ESV app or Accordance app which both have text scrolling. Oddly enough Kindle is lacking in this area too. I find this odd because scrolling through text is standard throughout the iphone yet when it comes to book apps (with even more text) this feature is completely lost. I would also go as far as to say that this is the one feature that has kept me from heavily using the Logos iphone app. Even though I like the rest of the functionality, I find it awkward to turn digital pages and not simply scroll like computers have been doing from the beginning.
I know it will never happen but I WOULD LOVE to see this app get an Iflow option. Download the free Iflow ereader in the app store if you haven't already. It allows you to set the tilt of your phone and then depending on how much you tilt it from that calibrated point the text auto scrolls slowly, getting faster as you tilt more and slower as you bring it back slightly. This functionality makes reading on a phone feel luxurious and makes you never want to have to flip a digital or print page again. I'm guessing the function is patented because I haven't seen it elsewhere and and it's too cool to not reproduce on all ereaders.

Yes, the tilt to scroll is a nice feature. I've used it with Instapaper so I don't think patent issues are why it's not included. I'd imagine that the age old time/cost/benefit argument weighs more heavily.
