Early Adopters

Hey Everyone,

I know that we are all very fond and possessive of our favorite Bible Study Software. I also know that L8 is great but that doesn't mean that there are not kinks.

Please remember this, THIS IS DAY 1. You are an EARLY ADOPTER. Expecting bugs, and disappointments comes with the territory of being an early adopter.

Apple releases its iPhone every year and there are ALWAYS problems for early adopters. I used to work for Apple and I would tell customers if you don't want to have any frustrations with the new iOS or Phone then wait a month or so before jumping in.

That's the nature of development and technology.

Please remember what it means to be an early adopter and extend Faithlife some grace.

    Hi David

In the software world an Early Adopter is usually working with a pre GA version of the software and has not made a payment for the privilege. This phase normally follows extensive Beta testing.

If some features in a GA release are considered Early Adopter then they are clearly labelled as such.

It is also reasonable, and normal, to expect any major change in an established workflow to be clearly documented.

This is standard/good practice in the software business and Faithlife is a software business a fact that Bob would agree with.

Given that much of the code has been used by Now/Connect users for 8-23 months, I'd say most of L8 is well passed beta ....
