I am running Logos 8 on a Mac, and it doesn't matter what I select for columns on the Home Page, it always displays three.
Mac OSX 10.11.6, Logos 8.0.0.0562
The setting is a maximum but your screen doesn't appear to have room for any more than 3. Does it work if your window is bigger?
You're right. When I scaled the program to 80%, it allowed another column on the home page.

So this was an issue for me as well, and I was under the assumption (and maybe it still is true) that this was something to be fixed in 8.1. However, when I reduced my program scale to 80%, it likewise allowed another column on the homepage.
