ESV Read Aloud issue

A week or two ago I started experiencing an issue with the "read aloud" function in the ESV bible. Though I have it set for "David Cochran Heath", the default voice takes over at the beginning of each chapter.
The only way I seem to get the "David Cochran Heath" voice is by typing in the ref box of the ESV window the Book, Chapter # and verse 2.
I've been using this function for years and never experienced this before.
Thoughts?

I am having the same issue with ESV Read aloud.

I have the same problem. Did you upgrade your Mac to Mojave by any chance? I didn't notice this problem until I upgraded my OS.

No, I am not using a Mac. I didn't make any changes to my system. One day it was working fine, the next day the problem started.
I have tried it on other devices with the same problem. I even upgraded to Logos 8 and still the same problem.0 -
To anyone following this post...The Lexham Bible Read aloud works fine. Just not the ESV.

I've found this problem occurs with the NASB as well.

Michael - I think you will need to explain more clearly. What do you mean by "this problem"?
The original post concerns the "read aloud" feature. The OP is using an audiobook voice (David Cochran Heath, who is the person who read the ESV for the audiobook). The voice was switching from the audiobook voice (Heath) to the macOS (computer generated) one. You can't be having the "same" problem for two reasons:
- David Cochran Heath read the ESV, not the NASB
- Faithlife doesn't sell an audiobook for the NASB
Can you explain what issue you are having? We would like to help but we don't know what the problem is!

I can confirm the issue and will create a bug report in the L8 forum. I wonder if it is related to the rebuild bible index command. Did you do that a couple weeks ago?

Mine does the same as OP - open ESV, verify Heath is narrator, start read aloud. When it gets to the start of a new chapter, it switches to the default narrator even though the setting is correct. Just stopping and restarting the read aloud clears it until the next chapter.

Tested a little this morning and found that Matt seems to transition chapter to chapter ok. At least in the beginning chapters (didn't test all). Also tried random chapter transitions in Mk, Luk, Acts which seemed to be ok. But other books are not transitioning from chapter to chapter and going back to default voice.
I know randomness only complicates the issue...sorry.
Don't think it happened because of the Bible re-index. Pretty sure it was occurring prior to that though I could be wrong. I believe it started when I got to Hebrews in my read through which was mid-Oct.

Guess that's good as long as the fix applies to L7 as well.

Sorry for the confusion NASB is ok using the System Audio.
I have found, however, that the LEB in Rev.22:21b - 22 there is audio but no Bible Text shown.
Thanks.

This should be fixed with an update to the ESVAUDIO resource that was shipped recently.
